Uwalmassa – EP3 [Sundial]
We asked Jon K about one of his favourite records at the moment.
I’ve been a fan of Uwalmassa since the first release in 2016 but I recently met Harsya (Wahono) when I saw an amazing live set of his at Current Plans gallery in Hong Kong.
After hanging out with him that evening, Instagram’s algorithm made sure I saw his next post and luckily for me it was to announce Uwalmassa EP3!
I’ve already been playing ‘Untitled 11’ at some dates on my current Asia tour and ‘Untitled 12’ is now indelibly etched into my head after losing my way in Shinjuku station during rush hour….if I’d have scored my own soundtrack for that experience, I couldn’t think of a tune that captured the manic energy of the situation any better.
The whole EP has been on heavy rotation the last few weeks though.
